Desert Highlands Fitness Center
The Desert Highlands Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to encouraging wellness and active lifestyles. It is exclusively for the use of Desert Highlands Golf Club members. The fitness center is 7,000-square-feet and is one of the most elaborate fitness facilities of any Scottsdale golf club.It features 30 workout stations with annually upgraded equipment including Precor Ellipticals, treadmills, LeMond spin bikes, recumbent bikes and pilates reformer, as well as Cybex strength training equipment and free weights. There are also five Plasma flat-screen TVs set up around the exercise stations.
Fitness Classes
There is a wide range of aerobics classes available year round at the Desert Highlands Fitness Center. These include Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Stretch, Bodysculpt, Pilates, Latin Dance, Spin, T’ai Chi and more. All classes are held in the private fitness room within the complex. Also available are specialty programs such as Golf Fitness workshops and health or lectures. The Fitness Center is professionally staffed with six personal trainers, each with advanced certifications or degrees in Physical Education, Physical Therapy, Nutrition and pilates. Also on staff is an on-site nutritionist with whom members can schedule a personal consultation and establish an individualized nutrition program. The Fitness Center includes a day spa staffed with two licensed therapists.
