Under this flexible pricing structure, memberships to Mirabel Golf Club have become more affordable and vary based on supply and demand. Naturally, the lowest price will be sold first, as memberships are limited. Pinnacle Peak Patio Provides an Old West Experience

Located in the heart of the Troon North area, is a well-known gem dedicated to preserving the Old West. Pinnacle Peak Patio is a little piece of history and one of Scottsdale’s many attractions. Though the city is known for its sprawling golf communities, pristinely manicured desert scenery and many modern amenities, Pinnacle Peak Patio, a newly renovated steakhouse and brewery is still a favorite among tourists, locals and even a few big-name celebrities.

What started out as a general store and resting area for fishermen in 1957 became a full-blown restaurant, serving up “Sonoran” brand beers and classic Western barbecue. Pinnacle Peak Patio has since hosted such high-profile guests as Tom Cruise, Paul Newman, Patrick Swayze, David Hasselhoff and Michael J. Foxx. In 2006, before owners Gary Pryor and Harvey McElhanon regained control of the property, the restaurant was ready to be redeveloped into a five-star resort. Today, Pinnacle Peak Patio is back in good hands and going strong.

Pinnacle Peak Patio is the home of a few long-standing and somewhat peculiar traditions such as clipping and hanging up the ties of overdressed patrons or serving an old boot to guests requesting their steaks “well-done.” Whether you are a Troon North resident or just in town, this 56 year-old icon is worth a visit; just leave your tie at home.

The Four Seasons at Troon North Valentines Day Celebration

The Four Seasons Troon Northwill feature a special Troon North Valentine’s Day menu at each of their fine restaurants.

Talavera is featuring a romantic five-course tasting menu. This menu will include pancetta wrapped maine lobster, wagyu short rib ravioli, beef porterhouse with roasted porcini and heirloom micro vegetables. For dessert they will serve a Vahrhona Painter’s Canvas which includes a rich chocolate tasting, succulent strawberries, buttery Madeleine’s and fresh homemade cookies. A glass of sparkling champagne and a tasty take home treat will also be included. The cost is $210 per couple for the full tasting.

For an unconventional spin on Valentine’s Day, visit Proof as their menu will feature an “Un-Valentine’s Day” theme. The menu includes a grilled 20-ounce rib eye for one and fried crispy sweet breads. A Broken Heart Cookie sandwich for dessert will be the perfect end in this “Un-Valentine’s Day” themed dinner.

The Phoenix Open is Here Once Again

The Waste Management Phoenix Open at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) is here once again. This annual event brings thousands of people to the Scottsdale area each year and is a blast for anyone in attendance.

Today the Annexus Pro-Am starts on the Stadium course. These amateur players get to play alongside some of the most popular golfers such as Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson, and Phil Mickelson. They also get to walk the course before the pros start their official rounds. For any avid golfer, this is an exciting day.

You don’t have to be a golfer or even a golf fan to enjoy the Phoenix Open. It’s fun to just wander around to the various vendors and enjoy the gorgeous Scottsdale weather in January.
