Freak Snow in Troon

Unbelievable as it is, there was actually a light dusting of snow in Troon North yesterday. It was a freak event, as Troon simply doesn’t get snow very often. It was raining and then suddenly the rain drops became snow flakes. Almost as soon as it hit the ground the sun came out and melted the snow. This is Scottsdale Arizona after all. Everyone here gets excited by the sight of snow. It is such a rare occurrence.

According to the National Weather Service, it was 44-degrees outside when it started to snow. One resident said he was pretty shocked to see snow in Scottsdale and grabbed his iPhone and took a video of the snow as proof. Definitely not normal for Troon North!

We’ve had a cold snap this week, but the forecast predicts sunny skies and mid 60s by Friday.
