Looking for fun holiday activities for all ages? Hike Pinnacle Peak this Saturday at the “Jingle Hike to Santa” event. This annual event at Pinnacle Peak Park in Troon North is the perfect way for the whole family to enjoy Christmas in the Sonoran Desert. Kids are able to participate in a fun craft activity at the trailhead and, of course, meet Santa at the top! The hike itself is one mile round-trip with a few steep sections, though nothing too difficult for casual hikers and children. For safety, no strollers or bikes will be allowed on the hike.
“Jingle Hike to Santa” will take place on Saturday morning, December 7th, at 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Registration is required for this event and costs $10 for resident families. Non-residents can register for $15. All children must have an adult to accompany them at all times on the trail.
There are tons of great opportunities to hike Pinnacle Peak. The park is host to numerous events and activities throughout the year, including guided interpretive tours, night hikes, astronomy programs, wildlife exhibits and more. Or you can hike Pinnacle Peak on your own or with friends. Residents of Troon love the easy-moderate trail and the unbeatable views from the mountaintop. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Pinnacle Peak is one of the many treasures of North Scottsdale.
